Instructions to properly move out of Haven

Below please find out the move out information and procedure to ensure that we have a smooth transition out of Haven and nothing is left behind.

Let's first confirm that you meet the criteria for a full refund of your deposit and to ensure you do not have unexpected charges:

Have you provided 30 days notice prior to your next billing cycle?

You will be responsible for your next month member dues if we do not receive this reasonable notice. Please note we are not a hotel, and do not have a daily rate. We only bill by the month.

If you are on the first month of a month-to-month plan, you have a 7 day grace period providing a 21 day notice period for Monthly Members on their initial month at Haven.

Are you in a long-term agreement? 

Please make sure to note when your agreement expires. If you plan to break your agreement and terminate early you may be responsible for the balance of the agreement. Please contact [email protected] if you are looking to break your long-term agreement to see if there is an accommodation that can be made for any part of your remaining balance due.

Can you ensure that you will vacate on the last day of the month?

If you have stayed with us for over one month your agreement ends on the last day of the month, not the 1st of the next month. Most likely we will have a move-in coming on the 1st of the month and the space will need to vacated for another member. 

You will be required to vacate the premises by 5pm on your move out day. 

If you plan to hold over past your agreement end date, please let us know. Please note that your member rate will increase by 200% of your base rent on a per diem basis.

Move Out Process

To start your move out process, please go to your appfolio online portal

How do I give my notice to vacate to my property manager?

Your property manager can choose whether or not you can give notice through the Online Portal. If this feature is enabled you can find it on the Contact Us tab. Select Request Notice to Vacate in the Contact Options block. Provide your desired move out date, your reason for leaving, and your forwarding address (if you have it), then click Submit. If your property manager does not offer this feature, you’ll need to contact them directly.

Move Out Checklist

Please make sure you have the following ready prepared for your move out 

  • 30 days notice prior to next billing cycle

  • Clean pod, closet and bathroom space of all personal belongings and trash

  • Take off all sheets and pillow cases, leave in a pile on bed or take with you

  • Clean out fridge/dry bins and wipe them down 

  • Clean out your food from freezer

  • Make sure all personal belongings are out of all common areas and storage

Security Deposit Return

Your security deposit will be returned to you within 30 days of your   move out date. We prefer to send this with zelle or direct deposit, but can also send you a check, or if you are international we can make a payment with Revolut or TransferWise
